This year we are seeking applications for the Environmental Budget that will save energy, increase recycling and create greener space for all.
Do you have any ideas big or small that will make a difference to where you live? Do you and your neighbours wish to make improvements to your environment saving energy, resources, reduce your carbon footprint and create greener areas? | What is saving energy and resources?
|
- Saving energy could be fitting low energy light bulbs, sensor lights or radiator heat reflectors in communal areas.
- Encouraging your community to become more energy aware through holding energy advice sessions and promoting energy saving initiatives.
- Make your own free, clean and green energy through fitting small wind turbines.
- Fitting water butts to save water.

• Encourages the flora and fauna creating natural areas
• Create allotments and community garden areas
We have received a number of applications and have completed our first installation of waterbutts at Peto Court, pictured below.

Tenants at the scheme are very keen gardeners and were extremely pleased when the application was successfully complete Mrs Peart said “we are very pleased with the fitting of the waterbutts and how useful they will be to maintain our gardens and we would like to thank the Association for accepting our application”.
